For me my father represents my personal ideal of a hero because of his strong moral character. In raising his children, he exposed us early in life to religious activities. This, he believed, would form the basis by which we could develop standards of right and wrong. Thus, in this area, he fulfilled his own moral obligation of giving his children a philosophical direction in life. To this day, though we are adults, he pointedly tells us when we act in a manner which seems wrong to him. His moral character is further illustrated in his approach to dealing with other people. He believes in treating all people with the dignity and respect they deserve. He is sometimes brutally honest but is, at the same time, sympathetic and caring towards their personal needs. Through his sense of morality, he is incapable of cheating anyone whether they are personal friends or his customers. My father is very predictable and immovable in his moral ideas, and thus my admiration for him endures.
